About Cassilly Besten Yozwiak:
I began my journey working in radiation oncology in 2019 as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Coming from a family with roots heavily in accounting, I realized early on that I wanted to go a different direction and become a nurse. I received my BSN from the University of South Carolina in 2012, and spent over 7 years working as an inpatient nurse in the areas of Medical and Surgical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Hospice, and Palliative Care. In 2019, I received my Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Kentucky. I am passionate about preventative cancer screening, and focused much of my schooling on speaking with providers about colorectal cancer screening in a primary care clinic. I am a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. My fiancé and I have a Shar-Pei named Napoleon and a cat named Blue. We love hiking, entertaining guests, and traveling. My favorite place I have been is Northern Ireland. My personal goals include expanding our family and becoming a better cook. You may meet me during inpatient consultations, at your outpatient follow-up, or in various other capacities around the clinic. I’m very fortunate to be a part of such a wonderful team!
